Monday 6 to Friday 10 November marks the UK’s Energy Security and Green Infrastructure Week, the biggest green infrastructure conference, and the UK’s official national awareness week.

The week shines a spotlight on the need to secure energy suppliers and create greener, more affordable energy that complements the UK's transition to net zero.

As an online conference, Energy Security and Green Infrastructure Week includes an extensive free-to-attend webinar series across three days. Each day has its own theme with Tuesday covering Climate Leadership, Wednesday covering the Energy Economy and Thursday covering Business and Places.

Across these webinars, attendees can gain exclusive insight from peers, innovators, and policy experts on topics such as; skills needed for the net zero transition, EV charging, on-site solar for businesses and onsite power purchase agreements amongst many more.

The conference provides an opportunity for Greater Manchester businesses to learn more about the transition to net zero from experts in the sector, free of charge.

Covering a broad range of topics, it can support businesses of all shapes and sizes on their journey whether they’re looking to upskill their workforce, adopt onsite renewables or transition to electric vehicles.

Energy Security & Green Infrastructure Week also highlights the British technologies that will be used to deliver the biggest gains in the global transition to net zero.

Bee Net Zero Partner, Electricity North West’s Strategy and Growth Director Ben Grunfield, will be speaking on the webinar “Infrastructure Resilience: How do we secure our green energy infrastructure against rising risks?” discussing the importance of building infrastructure resilience in electricity distribution to withstand both structural changes in supply and demand and also changes in climate conditions.

The conference will deliver insight and commentary for the whole ecosystem of people and organisations involved with green infrastructure from buyers and developers to investors and policy influencers–regionally, nationally and internationally.
