Greater Manchester has a target to become net zero by 2038, twelve years ahead of the government target.

This transition will fundamentally transform every part of the economy. Some of these changes will be visible, such as renewable energy and electric vehicles, but most will happen behind the scenes in the way organisations operate and manage their relationships.

Business leaders will face new responsibilities and risks, but also new opportunities to grow and benefit from greener and more efficient ways of working.

As a result, GC Business Growth Hub has launched a course to help businesses across Greater Manchester capitalise on the opportunities ahead.

Bee Net Zero partner GC Business Growth Hub are excited to launch the new ‘Low Carbon Skills: Journey to Net Zero’, a fully funded programme available to individual learners based in Greater Manchester from both SMEs and large businesses.

Through group workshops, study material and expert advice, environmental specialists will support learners in building a strategic plan to cut their carbon footprint, reduce costs, minimise risk and capitalise on the many opportunities awaiting them in the net zero world.

The course provides the opportunity to learn from GC Business Growth Hub’s team of environmental business advisors who collectively have over 150 years of experience in supporting SMEs to become cleaner, greener and more profitable businesses.

On completion of the programme, learners will have the opportunity to gain a Level 3 qualification from Ascentis.

The Low Carbon Skills: Journey to Net Zero programme has also been assessed and verified by the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) and The Growth Company is proud to be an approved IEMA training centre.

On completion of the course, learners will be able to gain 21 hours of IEMA-certified CPD credits.

The course start days and timelines are listed below:
