Bee Net Zero partner, Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce is currently leading on the development of the Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) for our region and is asking employers for their help.
In essence, the LSIP is a plan which aims to put employers at the heart of the skills system. The first stage in developing the LSIP is to understand the problems businesses experience when trying to recruit individuals with the skills they need to move forward.
Through gathering data around skills and labour shortages, the Chamber can start to map out where the biggest skills gaps are in each Local Authority area in Greater Manchester. Then, working with skills providers in each area, the team will set actionable priorities so that provisions can be put in place for individuals to obtain the skills that businesses need.
One of the ways employers can help is by completing this short survey to outline the skills shortages in their industry.
Currently, the Chamber is asking businesses to tell them about green and net zero skills shortages. So, if your business has struggled to find individuals with the green skills you need to fulfil your environmental objectives, please click here to add your views to the Greater Manchester LSIP and be part of the solution.

The deadline to complete this survey is Friday 5 May: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/GMLSIPBNZ2
