To help accelerate the energy transition towards net zero goals, Manchester’s Energy Innovation Agency is helping revolutionary technologies come to market by launching a directory of low-carbon energy solution companies.

As part of the agency’s commitment to encouraging growth and investment in green, cleantech and low-carbon companies, the directory will help businesses and end users reach companies that can help meet their decarbonisation needs and goals.

For Greater Manchester businesses looking to decarbonise, the directory provides a space to search for the latest innovations and be a step ahead of the curve when it comes to green tech.

The Energy Innovation Agency is a partner of Bee Net Zero. It was designed to bridge the energy innovation gap by validating, exploiting and scaling up effective low-carbon energy innovations, to enable rapid commercialisation creating value and sustainable solutions for all stakeholders.

As a collaboration between The University of Manchester, Manchester Metropolitan University and the University of Salford, The Energy Innovation Agency applies energy and environmental research expertise while working with Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) and SSE Enterprise to ensure Manchester continues to lead on ambitious regional environmental innovation and action.

The Agency works with partners and innovators to create an accelerated roadmap to deployment, overcome barriers to market and help reduce Greater Manchester’s carbon emissions.

Placing trusted innovators in one simple directory will hopefully improve take-up from end users, transform Greater Manchester’s Energy Systems and help the region meet its goal of being net zero by 2038.

The directory includes heating systems, wind turbines, hot water cylinders, solar heat collectors, window replacement products and more that can help to improve energy efficiency and promote renewable energy sources.

The state-of-the-art tech is new to the market but could be revolutionary in changing the way we consume energy and reducing carbon emissions for businesses across Greater Manchester.
