Bee Net Zero partner pro-Manchester is teaming up with Hattrick to help members gain a better understanding of climate change on Carbon Literacy Action Day.
Scheduled for Monday 4 December to coincide with COP28 in Dubai, Carbon Literacy Action Day is the largest low-carbon education event that serves as a catalyst for addressing climate change through Carbon Literacy training, engaging people from all walks of life in the quest for positive, collective climate action, no matter where they’re from.
This Carbon Literacy Action Day, Pro-Manchester has teamed up with Hattrick to offer an exclusive 'Carbon Literacy' programme to its members.
This is a unique opportunity for Greater Manchester’s business community to gain a deeper understanding of climate change and discover how they can help combat it. Participants will become certified as Carbon Literate and receive an exclusive Action Day certificate, highlighting their commitment to a more sustainable and climate-conscious future.
The race to net zero is on. However, many companies are worried about being called out by an increasingly clued-up audience and ever-stricter guidelines and legislation.
The course will run from 9am to 5:30pm at a location in Manchester City Centre.

2. What is climate change, a carbon footprint and offsetting; and why does it all matter?
3. What are the greenhouse gases, the carbon budget, net zero & other key industry terminology?
4. What key commitments have been made; globally, nationally and locally?
5. The latest marketing regulations, how to avoid greenwash and what best practice looks like

This 'Net Zero Masterclass,' is not your average training session. It's a highly interactive experience featuring In-person training based in central Manchester, practical breakout sessions, multimedia content, real-life case studies and ‘how to’ guides as well as accredited training.
The training is being offered free of charge for the first 20 pro-Manchester members who sign up for the course on 4th December. It’s an important date in a global drive to get as many people trained in carbon literacy on this annual Carbon Literacy Action Day (#CLAD) .
