Pro-Manchester to host Green Transformation Conference in partnership with Bee Net Zero

Greater Manchester is committed to becoming the world’s first zero carbon region by 2038. That huge ambition brings with it exciting opportunities for innovation, upskilling and economic growth.

As a part of that overarching mission, pro-manchester’s Green Transformation Conference will welcome a wide range of companies developing innovative new technologies to lower emissions, reduce our carbon footprint and improve our environment.

The conference will help businesses across our region learn about the scale of the challenge ahead of them and how to embrace green tech and change before anyone else, to gain that all important competitive advantage.

Attendees will be able to hear from innovators, professional advisors, policymakers and training providers to understand how their business can benefit from these developments and innovations.

Delivered in partnership with Bee Net Zero and sponsored by Kao Data, Appleyard Lees and Bruntwood SciTech, the conference will take place on Thursday 14th March 2024 at No 1 Circle Square from 9am to 3pm.

The day will begin with a welcome and keynote from Steve Connor Co-Founder and CEO of Creative Concern. Steve is also Green Lead for the Greater Manchester Business Board (LEP) and chair of Bee Net Zero.

Then panel sessions will cover topics including:

  • “Is Manchester doing everything it can to cultivate a Green Economy?”
  • “How tech is making it easier for businesses to be greener?”
  • “How is Manchester tackling the green skills divide?”
  • Making boardrooms and office spaces greener

Confirmed speakers so far include Bev Taylor, Energy and Environment Director at Bruntwood, Jordan Blunsom, Senior Consultant at Slalom, Amy House Director of Green Economy, Daniel Dickinson Development Lead at Energy Innovation Agency and Adam Nethersole, VP of Marketing at KAO Data.

With more speakers and keynotes to be announced its sure to be an informative and engaging event for business leaders across the region who are looking to embrace green tech and prepare for a more sustainable future.

Tickets for the in person event cost £60 for pro-manchester members and £75 for non-members. Virtual tickets cost £30 for pro-manchester members and £50 for non-members.
